The purpose of this presentation is to discuss the prevention of challenging behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in a home setting. We will discuss several proactive strategies for preventing challenging behaviors that parents can use to support their child with ASD.

Overcoming Depression: Functional Coping Skills for Parents to Share with Their Teens and Tweens

In this workshop, parents and caregivers will learn about causes of depression, how to identify signs of depression versus naturally occurring teen moodiness, prevention strategies that can be completed by parents and/or their child, and how to assist your child through their depression.

Masturbation and Your Young Man with Autism

This is a FREE one-hour event for parents of young men with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental diagnoses looking at addressing behavior concerns associated with young men and masturbation during puberty. Speaker Jonathan Rhoads is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in children, adolescents, and young adults diagnoses with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental diagnoses.
