Solo: A Star Wars Story AMC Sensory Friendly Films

AMC Theatres (AMC) and the Autism Society have teamed up to bring families affected by autism a special opportunity to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment on a monthly basis with the Sensory Friendly Films program: the lights are turned up, the sound is turned down, you can bring in your own gluten-free, casein-free snacks, and no previews or advertisements will be shown before the movie. In addition, audience members are welcome to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing – in other words, AMC’s “Silence is Golden®” policy will not be enforced unless the safety of the audience is questioned.
Tuesday films usually start at 7:00 pm,
Sensory Friendly Films are now Showing at the AMC Loews White Marsh 16, AMC Columbia 14 and AMC Owings Mills 17.

Voices of U.S. (Unified Speakers) Self Advocacy group meeting
June 13, 2018 –
We have established a self- advocacy group that welcomes not only the individuals with disabilities that we serve but others as well. The group is called Voices of U.S. (Unified Speakers).
All Voices of U.S meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Mid-Atlantic Main Office (2109 Laurel Bush Road, Bel Air MD, 21015).
All attendees receive food and drink at every meeting.

(Dr. Alfred Amado, Ph.D, President, NCSP and licensed psychologist in child-clinical and school psychology and his diverse staff of professionals)
