Autism Navigator is collaborating with Autism Science Foundation to bring this webinar series to you. This webinar will help you learn about our How-To Guide for Families online course and ways you can use this resource to engage your child in activities you’re already doing every day and help develop your child’s social communication skills.
Each webinar will cover the following agenda:
What it takes to learn to talk—gestures, sounds, actions and more
How to support your child’s learning in everyday activities
How Autism Navigator and Baby Navigator online resources can help each family

Staff from Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital will present a workshop for parents. Attendees will learn about typical development of feeding skills in infants and children, get tips and strategies to improve each child’s nutrition and get answers to pressing questions regarding picky eaters.
Presented by Sean Logie, PhD, Pediatric Psychologist, Feeding Disorders and Emily Hecht, MS, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist.
All parent trainings are free and brought to you by the Baltimore County Public School Special Education Resource Center!

It’s time to prepare and get cooking for Thanksgiving! Join Chef Don Emerson for a series of Zoom classes for all levels of cooking ability. The series will focus on the basics, working up to intermediate level recipes. By the end you’ll be making your own side dishes for Thanksgiving!
Sign up for 1, 2 or all 3 classes!
Each participant will be sent a kit with the necessary cooking supplies. Incentive gifts will be presented to those who complete all 3 classes.
Please note: Participants must be 18 years and older. VERY limited capacity available per session. Registrations will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis.
A Zoom link will be sent to you the day before each class for which you registered.

We have established a self- advocacy group that welcomes not only the individuals with disabilities that we serve but others as well. The group is called Voices of U.S. (Unified Speakers).
All Voices of U.S meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Mid-Atlantic Main Office (2109 Laurel Bush Road, Bel Air MD, 21015).
Each meeting is a social event where people can discuss whatever recent success they have had, current events and hold fundraisers.
All attendees receive food and drink at every meeting.
Volunteers are welcomed!

Mindy Cavendish, MS, CCC-SLP. will present "Pediatric Feeding Disorders in Autism" on Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. EST as part of the CARD Fall Training Series. This webinar will define pediatric feeding disorders (PFDs) and provide useful feeding strategies to support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in food exploration. Attendees will learn about the symptoms, impacted areas, and presentation of PFDs in autistic children. The speaker will provide practical strategies to add social, positive responsiveness and increase autistic children's confidence during mealtimes.
By the end of the training, attendees will be able to:
