PRESENTERS: Babette Smith, Support Broker, and her daughter, Melanie, Self Advocate, will explain “Person Centered Planning” to teens with disabilities and their families on how to plan for their own futures and the supports available through the process. Dr. Sharline Mashack, Psychologist. We are featuring her book, "SPECTRUM SECRETS, The Untold Stories Of Parents With Autistic Children" The book and topics will reveal the fears, worry, and anxiety we have as parents and how we hide our true feelings from others who do not understand. She wants parents to know, "You are not alone". Dr. Mashack has a 25-year-old autistic son. She will talk about her experience and the experience of other parents in her book. There will be a Q & A session.
