Kinera Trunk or Treat

October 27, 2019Kinera's Trunk or Treat begins at 2pm and will kick off with a Sensory-friendly Trick or Treat experience for children with special needs and their families. Trick or treaters can explore the craft and games station, trick or treat at the vendors tables, all decorated for Halloween, vote for their favorite vendor display, and enjoy snacks, drinks, music and family fun.
At 3pm we open to the general public and offer a great prelude to Halloween Night, or a replacement for door-to-door trick or treating.
This is a FREE family event, but registration is recommended. -

October 28, 2019We are offering two Online Social Skills Groups this fall.
Our Teen/Adult Group is geared for individuals between the ages of 15-21 years. The group is taught by a licensed BCBA and we utilize the PEERS ® Curriculum to teach and practice a variety of social skills. Each week consists of a Social Group meeting for the participants to learn and practice skills followed by a parent meeting to learn the next week’s lessons and how to support their child. All meetings take place through our HIPAA compliant video-conferencing software, Zoom.
Teen/Adult Group: Meetings every Monday from 5-7pm from September 16th to October 28th via Zoom

October 29, 2019Families are invited to attend a weekly play and learning time with their child: birth to age 5 of all abilities. Children will learn through play and parents/caregivers will be able to access resources and support from the staff of the Parent Resource Center. Join us for playtime, crafts, social skills, and music & movement activities.
Please note: Playgroup will not be held if schools are closed or there is a 2-hour delay. -

October 31, 2019In this group, you will have the chance to speak with others who understand and share your experiences with issues related to being in a neurodiverse couple. Discussions are focused on learning tools and coping strategies for particular issues that arise because of the neurological differences between partners.
