Managing Challenging Behavior

Participants will learn some of the common reasons why challenging behaviors occur,
as well as strategies to help diffuse those behaviors.

Speaker: Tonya Combs, School Psychologist Wicomico County Public Schools

Tonya Combs has been a School Psychologist with Wicomico County Public Schools since 2002.  Prior to that, she worked in various clinical settings where she helped parents and caregivers learn the skills they needed to manage typical (toilet-training) and problematic (aggressive) behaviors.   Tonya obtained her graduate degree in School Psychology from Salisbury University.  In addition to her certification as a school psychologist, she is a National Board-Certified Counselor.  Tonya lives in Salisbury with her husband, David, and son, Aaron.  Her daughter, Meghan, is a junior at Salisbury University.
