MWPH's Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) services include testing and treatment for children approximately two years old through adolescence. Most children will receive same-day diagnostic testing and results because research shows the sooner children with ASD are diagnosed and treated, the better their outcomes. That is why we strive to provide diagnostic and intervention services to children without lengthy wait times, so that families can receive clarification about their concerns and children can begin to make gains sooner. Our team approach: Each child’s team includes a licensed psychologist and if warranted, a speech/language pathologist. Additionally, referrals to speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, feeding therapy, developmental pediatrics, and psychiatry at MWPH may be made based on clinical need.
