The Maryland Coalition for Inclusive Education Inc. (MCIE) is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to the inclusion of students with disabilities in their neighborhood schools. Services include--
- Individual Advocacy: information and referral, consultation, and legal representation for families seeking less restrictive educational placements for their child.
- Administrative Advocacy: promotion of policies, procedures, and practices at the federal, state, and local level to promote systemic changes to ensure that students with disabilities can access general education in their neighborhood school.
- Provides training and support for schools including students with Autism Spectrum Disorders to ensure that students with ASD have access to high quality, evidence-based educational services in his or her local school district.
