Chesapeake Church is a community leader in ministry and outreach to families of children with physical; cognitive and/or emotional disabilities.We are here to do “whatever it takes” to serve special needs families in our community. We listen genuinely to what our families have to say; become aware of their needs; show compassion for their family members; and ask; “What can we do for you?”Our program offers a 1:1 relationship between someone with special needs and an experienced volunteer. Inclusion in our children's programs is our mission. When that is not possible; we offer personal relationship and activities for those who are not able to be mainstreamed.Providing competent care requires knowledge about the wide range of disabilities and the conditions of those involved.
