The Cody Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities at Stony Brook University provides two programs for students with learning and social disabilities that have the potential to succeed at college. The Summer Pre-College Experience at Suffolk County Community College is a three-week program that provides high school students in 11th or 12th grade with the opportunity to audit a college class for three weeks; and to develop study; organizational; and social skills necessary for success in college.The Cody Center College Support Program at Suffolk County Community College provides additional social skills training and academic coaching services to community college students with autism spectrum and related disorders. Students attend two weekly group sessions and have access to additional academic tutoring and organizational coaching three days per week.
