River Valley Ranch

River Valley Ranch (RVR) has begun a therapeutic riding program that serves clients of various disabilities. Horseback riding is a fun; rewarding; and empowering recreational opportunity for clients of all ages. Our Therapeutic riding instructor is certified by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) and is dedicated to providing quality and safe recreational opportunities for all riders. Soon RVR will be offering hippotherapy services (occupational therapy utilizing the horse's movement) in addition to the therapuetic riding program. If anyone is interested therapeutic riding at RVR it costs $25 for a half hour session. The sessions take place on Saturdays in Manchester; MD. Volunteer opportunities may also be available for the right individual wanting to lead and guard (walk beside) therapeutic riding and hippotherapy clients.
