The Cecil County SECAC (Special Education Citizen?s Advisory Committee) is a group of parents; administrators; Arc and DDA personnel committed to improving Special Education in Cecil County. We serve as a liasion between students; parents; the community and the Office of Special Education; promote a network of parents and children with special needs in Cecil County; partner with other community agencies and professionals who represent children with disabilities; support the Office of Special Education's annual review of programs and services during the budgetary process; provide information forums to parents; caregivers; educators; students and professionals on issues related to Special Education; assist parents/guardians/caregivers in becoming an educated; confident and comfortable participants in their child's education.

I am a clinical therapist specializing in working with children and families. I am a parent of two children on the autism spectrum, and therefore have special insight into the experience of parents of children with special needs. I accept BCBS, Johns Hopkins EHP, Magellan, and self pay on a sliding scale. I will soon be in network with Aetna, Cigna, and United.

Our professional and dedicated team nurtures and educates infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-age children in a wide-range of child care programs. Our children develop positive social skills and values and learn about their world through age-appropriate play, projects, and activities. We provide a stable, secure learning environment that fosters a solid foundation for lifelong success.
