Services Provided: Provide parents with child care referrals and information on evaluating quality child care; offer training, technical assistance, and consultation support services to child care providers to establish and improve their programs; collect and disseminate data as part of the Maryland Child Care Resource Network

The Child Find Office of Montgomery County Public Schools is the single point of entry that provides free (for Montgomery County residents) developmental screenings and assessments for children aged 2 years 10 months up through the spring prior to age eligibility for kindergarten. This office is also the single point of entry for families moving into the county whose preschool children have been previously identified and have a current Individualized Educational Program (IEP). Families with concerns about their preschooler's development, who are nonresidents of Montgomery County with a child attending a MSDE approved preschool within Montgomery County, may also contact the MCPS Child Find Office.

Camps and programs are available for ages 2-18 and up to age 21 for those with disabilities. If your child needs auxiliary aids or services, companion, ASL or cued speech interpreter, call a specialist at 240-777-6870 or email rec.mainstream@montgomerycountymd.gov.

The Montgomery County Infants and Toddlers Program's (MCITP) Family Support Network (FSN) helps families with children who have special needs to access resources and services to achieve the best possible outcomes for each child and family. The Family Support Network works to increase the involvement of parents and guardians in the early intervention and special education decision-making process, develop collaborative relationships between Family Support Network and MCITPS staff, families, and community members by providing information and training, connect parents and children to local resources and agencies who can help them, establish supportive networks among parents in local communities, provide information about disabilities and school system resources, as well as help families resolve concerns and make informed decisions about their child's education.
