Shoreline Therapies is a neurodiversity-affirming speech-language and occupational therapy clinic serving neurodivergent children, teens, and adults in Montgomery County, MD and surrounding areas. We are committed to providing strengths-based therapies that focus on supporting the needs of neurodivergent individuals and their families. At Shoreline, we offer:

At Shoreline, we reject the use of ABA or any approach that seeks to "modify behavior" because we understand the risk of harm they pose to autistic individuals. Because our therapies are rooted in the principles of Neurodiversity, we are committed to supporting the autonomy of autistic individuals at all times. Offering a rich educational program for bright; college-bound students with language-based learning differences.... Open dialogue and a joy for learning are at the heart of The Siena School's program. On a daily basis; our teachers evoke and inspire great questions from our students. At Siena; students learn to celebrate their strengths and to recognize that every challenge can provide an opportunity for growth. Siena faculty and staff work collaboratively with students; parents and professionals to create a nurturing but rigorous learning environment. We know our children well and engage them on a daily basis in exciting; intellectual dialogue. Through individualized; multisensory instruction; students develop critical thinking skills and acquire the tools and strategies needed to become successful and independent learners. A positive learning experience inspires our students to have confidence in themselves and in their abilities.

Our Mission:
We invest in the whole family's right to self-determination by providing meaningful, individualized, and culturally relevant behavioral services. We affirm children, teens, and young adults who exhibit social, emotional, learning, and behavioral concerns using the science of Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA) with a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach. We not only uplift the children and teens we service through ABA, but empower parents and siblings of our disabled and/or neurodivergent clients with the common goal of enhancing the quality of life for the entire household through the provision of mental health services, parent guidance, advocacy tools, and group sessions.
