TAND Together is a structured support group where self-advocates can share information about items of concern; upcoming activities; and legislation which may impact their rights or services. We provide person-centered programs that adapt to everyone’s unique pathway throughout life, ensuring every person's life is cultivated by their passions, goals, and desires. By supporting people in connecting with their community, we envision a world where everyone supported achieves limitless possibilities. Star Community offers three main services: Residential, Employment and Meaningful Day, and Therapeutic Equestrian Services. Whether someone wants to explore group living options, find employment, discover new community connections, or create a lasting bond with animals, Star Community can make it happen. For youth, we invite you to learn about our Work-Based Learning Experiences that provide job experience for young adults, as well as our Therapeutic Equestrian Services. For veterans, we invite you to learn more about our Star's Stripes and Heroes program, which is an equestrian program provided free-of-cost to veterans, first responders, and their families.

Starobin Counseling, LLC offers Parents Together, a parent support group program.   This program gives parents of autistic children and adolescents and parents of autistic young adults opportunities to enhance coping skills and gain insight and understanding of the emotional impact of ASD on the family system. It also offers parents time and tools to develop supportive relationships, share resources, and aims to strengthen the capacity of families to navigate the emotional and practical challenges of raising children and launching adolescents and young adults on the spectrum. The group has been going since Summer 2017, has both moms and dads participating, and offers a regular, real-time connection for families! Starobin Counseling, LLC also offers individual, couples, and family counseling.  In individual, couples, & family counseling for people with autism individuals learn relationship skills and tools for thinking with greater flexibility, and family members learn ways to interact with greater ease and compassion. I also trained at the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family in Washington, D.C. and I'm earning certification in Relational Life Therapy.

The Unit also helps consumers who have been denied enrollment in a Qualified Health Plan or denied Advanced Premium Tax Credits or Cost-Sharing Reductions by Maryland Health Connection.

Maryland law also allows providers to file complaints against insurance carriers on behalf of consumers. The services of the Health Education and Advocacy Unit are FREE to consumers.
