The Social Beginnings program is designed to provide a fun and engaging social skills curriculum based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Lessons are designed specifically around each child's individual needs and children are carefully paired in small groups with like aged peers with similar social skills. Captivating curriculum materials and activities are adopted from Michele Garcia Winner's Social Thinking® program to create fun group activities in which important social skill lessons are embedded. Within each of the groups children work on building skills from a specialized curriculum bank that help them participate in group settings; make friends; understand how others feel; start conversations; maintain social interactions; share and take turns; and many other skills necessary to succeed in a social environment.
