The Strawbridge School gives students in grade 5 through age 21 the tools; structure; curriculum and overall successful academic experience to secure their educational foundation. Opened in 1994 on the Board of Child Care's Baltimore campus; Strawbridge is a nonpublic school licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education and accredited by the National Commission for the Accreditation of Special Education Services. The school operates the following programs:The Type I program is a private special education day school program serving students primarily with emotional and behavioral disabilities.The Type III program is a short-term; transitional education program designed to support students living in the Board of Child Care's Shelter Program.
