For over 50 years, Star Community® has supported people with disabilities in Washington County to achieve their goals and live a meaningful life filled with opportunity. We provide person-centered programs that adapt to everyone’s unique pathway throughout life, ensuring every person's life is cultivated by their passions, goals, and desires. By supporting people in connecting with their community, we envision a world where everyone supported achieves limitless possibilities. Star Community offers three main services: Residential, Employment and Meaningful Day, and Therapeutic Equestrian Services. Whether someone wants to explore group living options, find employment, discover new community connections, or create a lasting bond with animals, Star Community can make it happen. For youth, we invite you to learn about our Work-Based Learning Experiences that provide job experience for young adults, as well as our Therapeutic Equestrian Services. For veterans, we invite you to learn more about our Star's Stripes and Heroes program, which is an equestrian program provided free-of-cost to veterans, first responders, and their families.
