Parents Supporting Parents of Anne Arundel County

The creators of this group are parents advocating for their children’s educational rights while facing many roadblocks to achieving an appropriate education for their children. There are many, many parents out there in the county, and across the country with an identical story: - recognizing a child that needs support under IDEA - having the child diagnosed - getting the child outside support - asking the school for support - being denied the support (or under supported) - the school waiting your child out as they are pushed through each year And the parents continue with a one-on-one battle with the school for an INDIVIDUAL education plan. The time is now to come together as a single voice to advocate for our children and expose the institutional denial of our children's right to a Free and Appropriate Education under the Individual's with Disabilities Education Act.
