Lorrie Ness, Ph.D.

I provide individual and family therapy for children and adults who have been diagnosed with high functioning autism or Asperger's Disorder, AD/HD, LD, executive dysfunction and mood disorders. I understand the confusion that can be associated with these issues and I work hard to educate individuals and families, as well as to highlight existing areas of strength. Treatment focuses on helping individuals cultivate their natural skills and talents to compensate for areas of greater difficulty and to develop a sense of self-efficacy and self-esteem. I frequently collaborating (with clients' permission) with family members, educators and other health care providers to create a broad "treatment team." I also provide comprehensive neuropsychoeducational evaluations for AD/HD, LD, executive dysfunction and neurodevelopmental disorders. Following the evaluation, I work with families and collaborate with schools to develop a plan to accommodate for areas of challenge.
