Camping offers a great deal to children with Autism; Asperger's; or other Pervasive Developmental Delays; who benefit from the positive structure of our program. Our individualized and structured activities allow campers to feel secure. Each activity is developed to assist children with communication and participation. Campers are introduced to new skills and activities in a precise and consistent manner. Campers are encouraged to participate positively with counselors and fellow campers. Appropriate interaction is rewarded with praise or a favorite activity. Trained staff provide direct care throughout the summer with a high staff to camper ratio of 1:3 minimum. Accepts campers age 6 -20+.
