The Frost School Autism Program provides special education and related services for children ages five to twelve with autism, pervasive developmental disorder (PDD), developmental delays in one or more areas, severe behavioral problems, multiple learning problems, and other related disorders. The school follows the Maryland Voluntary State Curriculum. Skills are taught in highly structured settings, such as discrete trial instruction, then are introduced in to less structured, natural settings. This design helps to enhance skill development while improving the child?s ability to generalize. Additional components of the program include small group instruction, individualized student daily schedules, and life skills training. Parents are encouraged to participate fully in the decisions regarding programming for their children.Capacity of Facility: 80 Ages Served: 5 - 19 Grade Range: 2 through 12 Private Pay Students Accepted: Yes
