Kelley D. Shaw; M.S.; CCC-SLP Kelley has been practicing in the field of speech pathology for 13 years in a variety of clinical settings. After graduating from Towson University in 1999; she completed her Clinical Fellowship in the Anne Arundel County Infants and Toddlers Program. With the itch to pursue training in research and autism; Kelley then moved on to work under Dr. Rebecca Landa at Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Center for Autism and Related Disorders. She worked at KKI with CARD; PACT and CFSP programs for over 8 years; in home; clinical; and child care settings. Kelley furthered her professional development by completing a Master’s Level Certificate in Education of Students with Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders in May of 2005. In August of 2006; Kelley developed and led the Early Starts Inclusive Child Care Program; an early intervention preschool model for very young children suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorders. Following the birth of her second of two boys; Kelley made the difficult decision to leave KKI and pursue her own private practice. She has extensive training in working with young children with autism spectrum disorders; suspected apraxia of speech; sensory issues; and other developmental issues. Kelley enjoys attending professional development seminars as part of her training and to enhance her knowledge. CBT Solutions of Baltimore provides comprehensive psychiatric/diagnostic evaluations of autism spectrum disorders for children; adolescents; and adults. Available services also include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for adolescents (12 years and up) and adults with high functioning autism spectrum disorders. While research is still limited; CBT has demonstrated promise for helping this population of patients.

The Community College of Baltimore County Harbour Horizons Program is a two year; five day a week college experience in partnership with Harbour School/Innovative Learning Inc. The program moves to a different campus each year between Essex and Catonsville. The program is offered for students with mild to moderate learning differences who want to learn to live and work independently while earning a non-credit completion certificate.
