ACTV offers a short-term residential tract outside of our traditional program. There is very little difference between short-term residential treatment programs and inpatient programs that are well known like the Village’s. The only difference between the two is the fact that with short-term treatment our children undergo a more vigorous program in a more condensed time period, typically 60-90 days. During that time period, our children live at The Village just like any other; however, their schedule is more strict and condensed to allow for ample individual and group therapy sessions, testing, and medication monitoring and adjustments. Like all of our children’s stays, short-term stays are geared towards individual treatment plans, and in preparation of returning home, but more swiftly. Our Clinical staff works very closely with the child’s Social Worker, Parent and/or Guardian and community outpatient resources to ensure they are discharged with plans and recommendations that we believe will enable them to succeed.
