Infant & Toddler ProgramThe Wicomico County Infants and Toddlers Program provides an array of services to children from birth through age three. The Program is family-centered & community based. Services are designed to maximize the developmental potential of children while providing support to families. Through collaboration with hospitals & community agencies; the Program also helps families navigate the range of services that are outside the scope of the early intervention system. Services are provided by the Wicomico County Public Schools; the Wicomico County Department of Health and the Wicomico County Department of Social Services. At the age of three; if the child continues to be eligible for services; the family may choose to continue on an Extended IFSP until the age of four. Services will remain in the natural environment. At the age of four; if the child continues to be eligible; an individualized education plan (IEP) will be written. Services are provided at no cost to families. Among the range of services that may be offered to children and families: Speech Therapy Occupational Therapy Physical Therapy Nursing services Social Work Audiology Services Family Counseling Special InstructionReferrals can be made by calling (410) 677-5250 between 8:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m.; Monday-Friday.

The LMB will be the primary structure for the County to implement and maintain an efficient system of services for children; adolescents and families. Responsibilities include the following: inter-agency planning for results; goal setting; resource allocation; planning and contracting; and implementing and monitoring state funded or supported inter-agency services to children and their families in Wicomico County.

In fact; it is due to the integration of services; outreach to family and community and a strong belief that all students can learn; that our students have acquired the academic; vocational and social/emotional skills needed to transition to adulthood with conviction; self-confidence and competence.
