Located on 250 rural acres on Maryland’s upper Eastern Shore, Easterseals Camp Fairlee is a traditional, overnight summer camp for children (age 6 +) and adults ( age 21+) with all types of disABILITIES, providing accessible recreation for campers and family respite for their caregivers. Sessions vary in length from 5 days to 12 days; most are 6 days. There are two sessions each summer just for children with autism who need one to one care and counseling. There are also options for children with autism to attend other sessions. Activities include canoeing, kayaking, wall climbing, zip line, horseback riding, nature trails, swimming, campfires, arts/crafts, indoor games and activities and more! In 2015 Camp Fairlee was torn down and rebuilt with all new dormitories, a 12,000 square foot activity center, dining hall and health center. There are nurses on site at all times and an on call physician. Camp Fairlee can handle any kind of specialized diet. In addition to traditional summer camp there are also themed respite weekends during the off season that vary in length. For those over 18, Camp Fairlee offers vacation travel packages. Camp Fairlee is owned and operated by Easterseals Delaware & Maryland's Eastern Shore and has been serving Maryland and Mid-Atlantic families since 1954 and is accredited by the American Camp Association.
