Our students in the Model Asperger Program have average to gifted cognitive abilities but struggle in mainstream learning environments due to difficulties with social skills, executive functioning, flexible thinking and self-regulation. The program serves students from Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia. They have diagnosis that include: PDD/NOS, High Functioning Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Non-Verbal Learning Disability, Executive Dysfunction. In addition they may have additional challenges, including ADHD, anxiety or mood disorders, or Tourettes Syndrome. Private pay accepted.

Ivymount Autism Outreach and Consultation Services provides services to individuals with autism, their families, and the organizations, schools and agencies that educate and treat these individuals. Based on empirically-validated approaches within the field of autism and applied behavior analysis, these services seek to provide assessment, education, and treatment for individuals with autism. Services include but are not limited to: development and supervision of home programs, behavioral assessment and behavior plans, skill assessment and curriculum development, parent and staff training. J & C Behavioral Therapy, LLC is dedicated to using premier behavior analytic/early intervention services to enrich the lives of children with autism and other developmental disabilities. We help children learn the academic, social and daily living skills necessary to excel in today?s world. In addition, our staff focuses on educating family members and teachers about the various principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We pride ourselves on a commitment to provide the training, tools and resources needed to meet the everyday challenges of raising a child with autism.

Milldale offers a 4-or 8-week program for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade; that incorporates children with special needs into any of Camp Milldale programs. Children participate in general camp activities paired with counselors on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis who assist in the inclusion process. Children with speech/language or occupational therapy services on their IEPs may receive those services at camp.
