As a licensed psychologist, I provide psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum, attention deficit, anxiety, depression and other co-occurring disorders. My work involves concrete, structured interventions along with support and guidance that can be utilized in the home, school and workplace.I apply knowledge acquired from my training at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill - TEACCH Autism Program. “Structured TEACCHing”, (which is based on understanding the learning characteristics of individuals with autism and the use of visual supports to promote meaning and independence).I also conduct autism spectrum evaluations for children, adolescents and adults. My reports include specific recommendations for employment, home or classroom settings.My work with adults on the autism spectrum involves providing education about the diagnosis, helping the person advocate for him or herself, and managing anxiety. Anxiety usually occurs in social situations such as in work place environments and in personal relationships. I help my clients to better understand and manage their social relationships at school, at work, and at home. Developing independent living skills is also another focus of my treatment approach. Many individuals on the autism spectrum and those with AD/HD, benefit from similar strategies designed to help people develop executive functioning skills. I help my clients learn the basics of daily life management, time management, and planning.I also team with parents and caregivers to help them advocate for their family member. Home consultations for managing behavioral problems is also available.

Savvy Social Skills, LLC provides a safe and nurturing social environment where experts in the field of social cognition help your child grow and discover how to think in a social world. Our unique and child-centered social learning program is designed for children in elementary and middle school with age-appropriate language skills. Our lessons include group activities targeting hidden social rules needed to establish and maintain friendships, share space effectively, interpret social cues, work in groups, and stay focused.
