Lighthouse Complex Care is a clinic that specializes in medically complex patients. If you have been searching for answers for your child - navigating waitlists, being told nothing is wrong, or feeling like the system wasn't built for families like yours - you are exactly who we're here for. Our providers didn't just study this. Many of us lived it as parents of children with complex diagnoses. We are now offering Autism Assessments for ages 2-25, in DE, MD, VA, NJ, and PA. Lighthouse provides family counseling and social skills training for children and adolescents. The Sociabilities program includes weekly groups to teach and enhance social cognition for children with Autism, ADHD, trauma, Downs, and other challenges. In addition we offer school observations, advocacy at school meetings,and assistance with IEP, 504 plans. We often work with families to create and enhance effective behavioral interventions for home, school, scouts, etc. Lastly we offer professional Neurofeedback brain training for children and parents.

Linda Barton is a special education consultant and advocate with more than 30 years of experience. She has taught children in urban, rural and suburban school districts providing both classroom instruction and itinerant services for children from pre-school through high school. Linda worked as an IEP and testing specialist, including securing and monitoring nonpublic placements for students whose needs exceeded what could be provided in the public schools setting.Linda taught Understanding Special Education and Disabilities at Towson and Testing and Diagnosis at Johns Hopkins Universities. She has successfully advocated for children throughout Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania. Linda is active in several statewide advocacy organizations.
