Friendship Circle is an organization with a unique approach to helping children with special needs. Children with special needs often endure loneliness and isolation because of a lack of friends and social opportunities. Our innovative programming is designed to foster enduring and meaningful friendships between spirited teen volunteers and children with special needs in the greater Washington, DC area. These shared friendship experiences accomplish two important goals: (1) special needs children experience firsthand the joy of friendship, gain confidence and are empowered with enhanced social skills, improved language, and better behavior; and (2) teen volunteers learn the values of giving, civic responsibility, and gratitude.

Frogglez swimming goggles give children and adults control over their goggles and help foster independence during swim lessons. The popular swim goggles are used in adaptive swim programs all over the world because they don't require advanced motor skills. Frogglez Goggles are the only swimming goggles certified as a trusted resource that provides a therapeutic benefit and improves the quality of life of individuals with autism. The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) approved Frogglez Goggles as a Certified Autism Resource. The Certified Autism Resource designation makes it easier for parents and swim instructors to identify them as an appropriate therapeutic tool. Adaptive swim lessons and water therapy are a critical part of reducing the alarmingly high drowning rate of children with autism.  The easy on, easy off design allows swim instructors to devote more time to swimming skills instead of wasting precious lesson time adjusting goggles. The universal strap can be used with almost any swimming goggles, so parents and instructors can tailor Frogglez to meet specific therapy needs. For example, a wide-view swim mask can address proprioception issues, while tinted goggles can reduce anxiety. The end result is better-prepared swimmers. Dr. Chris designed Frogglez after watching his daughter struggle with her swim goggles at her first swim lesson. Because the children didn't have the motor skills to adjust their own goggles, the swim instructors spent more time helping swimmers with their goggles than they did teaching.  People around the world are better swimmers today because of the thoughtful design of Frogglez.
