The Inpatient Adolescent Neuropsychiatry Unit provides psychiatric evaluation; stabilization; and treatment of patients ages 10-18 with developmental disabilities or significant neurological impairments. Led by child psychiatrist Desmond Kaplan; M.D. and a specially trained multi-disciplinary staff; the Adolescent Neuropsychiatry Unit provides intensified staff to patient ratio; individualized behavioral plans; intermediate duration lengths of stay; and a variety of support treatments including caregiver training.

Our day program activities promote recovery through personalized assessment and rehabilitation planning. We focus on peer support, integrated care, symptom management, medication monitoring (if needed), coping strategies, independent living skills, social skills, and recreational and leisure activities.
