Take2 is a therapeutic summer camp for children 8-10 years old who have difficulty making and keeping friends because of brain-based differences that impede their functioning in the social world. Our children want to be social; we offer them the tools and support they require to understand the complexities of social interaction.

Services include hippotherapy, therapeutic horseback riding, social groups, and pre-vocational skills training. Taking The Lead, Inc. (TTL) has rescued and trained service dogs (with the assistance of our vocational students) to help with redirecting compulsions, applying pressure to calm the sensory system, and by helping keep individuals safe in public. TTL rescues horses and spends countless hours training them to be partners in therapy services, with sessions available on horseback or on the ground via grooming/caring for horses. 

Horses Empowering Relationship Development (HERD) is our group program that allows for socialization as well as learning pre-vocational skills like teamwork, completing tasks, communicating with others, and learning skills to process emotions, among many other fun activities!

General recreation activities include individuals with special needs. All ages.
