Blue Gems ABA provides therapy services for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ADS). Our highly experienced BCBAs and therapists work closely with each child and family in order to design a comprehensive treatment program. Our goal at Blue Gems ABA is to help children with autism, and other learning disabilities, reach their full potential. Our individualized programs help children navigate thru daily life, overcome their challenges and see what they are truly capable of.

The Blue Peak Center for ABA provides center-based ABA services to autistic children. As part of Mount St. Mary's University in northern Frederick County, the Blue Peak Center aims to be at the forefront of ethical ABA and evidence-based practices to best support those seeking services. Services incorporate a blend of naturalistic teaching by embedding learning into the child's preferences and individualized table work. With a heavy emphasis on caregiver training, families can anticipate that the skills their child learns within our center will carry over into over aspects of their lives. Currently, the Blue Peak Center provides only Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) services to children 0-6 years old, prior to schooling. Insurances accepted can be found on our website.

The Education Consultant; Heather Hinkle; M.Ed. provides services to parents who seek help and guidance as they advocate for their child in the public school system and private educational settings. It’s often a challenge for parents to feel as though they are full members of their child’s IEP team because the system can be difficult to navigate. Understanding the procedures and having additional information can make it easier to participate in the IEP process.Parents are provided with as much support as they need to achieve specific goals and improve their child’s experience at school. While advocating for the best interests of the student; there is an emphasis on monitoring adherence to the regulations set forth in federal; state and local law; team planning; and developing collaborative relationships with school staff.
