The Early Head Start Program provides comprehensive, year-round, child and family development services to low-income families with children, prenatal to three years old. The Therapeutic Nursery Program (TNP) is a specialized preschool that addresses the needs of young children three to five years of age. The Lourie Center School is a special education day school, certified by the Maryland State Department of Education. Located in Southern Rockville, the program currently has students from Montgomery County, Prince George's County and Washington, D.C. The School serves children ages 4-10 (Nursery - 4 through 5th grade) who have complex emotional and developmental problems which interfere with their ability to learn in a traditional school setting.

A Consultant, who is a senior staff member with at least 2 years of experience and has undergone special training to reach this level, is assigned as your Workshop Leader. The Consultant travels to your home and, during an initial 3-day consultation, will teach you and your staff the necessary skills to begin your child's treatment. The workshop includes instruction about applied behavior analysis, teaching technique and procedures, how to maintain accurate data on your child's progress, and how to identify areas of difficulty in your child's learning.

Pediatric Speech, Language, and BCBA services "Meaningful impacts through evidence-based practice" Macarena is a dually certified speech-language pathologist/Board Certified Behavior Analyst (SLP/BCBA) who has utilized her certifications for working with a wide range of children and their families in private practice settings, in-home and clinic-based. She also has experience collaborating with school systems and other professionals including teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, other BCBAs, other SLPs, and licensed psychologists. She believes in making meaningful impacts on the lives of children and their families by providing quality, evidence-based treatments where the kids LEARN while having FUN! LovetoLearnMD provides support to children and families with a variety of speech, language, and learning needs including:

• The assessment and treatment of children with:
  • Articulation/phonology delays and disorders
  • Childhood apraxia of speech
  • Communication and learning delays and disorders
  • Expressive/receptive language delays and disorders
• The assessment and treatment of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities utilizing the basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with an emphasis on communication, speech, and language acquisition based on B.F. Skinner’s analysis of language.
• Assessments utilized:
  • Standardized speech and language assessments
  • Criterion-referenced assessments, including but not limited to the ABLLs-R©, VB-MAPP©, and/or Essential for Living©
• Functional life skills (including toilet training)
• Family training and support
• Observations of school settings, including support in IEP meetings
• Complimentary speech and language screenings for child-care centers.

LovetoLearnMD, LLC currently provides services in your home, or in private school or daycare settings. If applicable, services can also be provided in the community to promote generalization. Serving Howard County and parts of Montgomery, Frederick, Carroll, Anne Arundel, and Baltimore counties.
