For almost 50 years, the award-winning Lower Shore Enterprises has successfully placed individuals with disABILITIES™ from Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties into jobs in the community. Our goal is to find productive employment for all who want it, thereby increasing their independence and helping them realize their dreams. For those who are ready to work, evaluators and employment specialists assess their skills and abilities, then develop a personalized employment plan and prepare them for placement. Those who are not yet ready for employment receive training in Lower Shore Enterprises’ production facilities (under the careful direction of highly dedicated, professionally-trained supervisors) while earning a real paycheck.

Graduate students provide evaluation, therapy, augmentative communication training, and audiometric testing for children and adults under the supervision of licensed clinical faculty. Professional and innovative programs are provided at a reasonable cost to the community.

Lucentra Care is a Maryland-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) company dedicated to supporting children and families affected by autism and developmental disorders. Our team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) delivers compassionate, evidence-based ABA therapy tailored to each child's unique needs. We partner closely with families every step of the way, because we believe caregivers are essential to every child's success.

Our mission is to connect intellectually, physically and life challenged individuals with a Fishing Adventure Buddy or Mentor that will build relationships through local fishing excursions with a goal of sharing life changing and healing experiences. These trips can be to the local pond for bank fishing, on a boat out in the Bay catching a number of different species (Rockfish is one of our favs) and if our Mentee is able, we will take them out Kayak fishing!

While on these Adventures, our Mentors will be sharing the beauty of nature while teaching about different fish species, fish conservation and the basics of fishing. The best part is the time and care shared as the Fishing Adventure becomes so much more than just fishing!

​All of our Mentors are very experienced and some even Professional Anglers that will take all the proper safety precautions and will provide Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) while participating, so our Mentees are always safe on and around the water.  Now everyone can have an opportunity to be Lucky and Blessed by Fishing Adventure Mentoring!
