These services include: General and preventive health care, Check-ups, including immunizations and acute illness care, Assessment and treatment of behavior and development problems, Psychosocial support through child life and social work services, Nutrition and breastfeeding support services, Parenting information, Gynecologic services, including family planning, Linkage to school and community programs, and Referrals for specialty care.The Clinic also offers many unique programs, most of which are supported completely by private philanthropy. Including: A Fitness Circle for overweight children and adolescents provides nutrition education and exercise classes, an Intensive Pediatric Clinic treats children and adolescents with or affected by HIV, Reach Out and Read and Adolescent Literacy Programs promote family literacy, and Project HEAL (health, education, advocacy and law) provides legal advocacy education and services of a full-time lawyer to help families with legal needs, including environmental health and housing issues, preparation of education plans for children, and insurance issues.
