The mission of Pathways Behavioral Health is to creative comprehensive school, home and community environments for children with behavioral concerns to become their best possible selves.  We help children with Emotional Disabilities (ED), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Learning Disabilities (LD), Pediatric Onset BiPolar Disorder, Developmental Delays, and Intellectual Disabilities (ID).  Additionally we offer parent training for families who are struggling to raise oppositional, defiant, and emotionally sensitive neurotypical children.  We offer a wide range of academic, behavioral and social supports to children, their families, and their schools.

Paula Moraine, M.Ed., has been a teacher and tutor for elementary grades, high school and college students, as well as a mentor, coach, and adult educator in the US, Germany, and Scotland. She has lectured widely in the US and abroad on themes of Dyslexia, ADHD, Executive Function, Parenting, and Teaching. She is the author of ‘Helping Students Take Control of Everyday Executive Functions – The Attention Fix’ (2012) and “Autism and Everyday Executive Functions” (2015). Paula is the Past President of the Maryland Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and Eastern Region Representative to the Branch Council of IDA.

SERVICE DOGS FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM

Service Dogs for Children with Autism act as constant companions to children with autism to help them improve social interactions and relationships, expand verbal and nonverbal communication, teach life skills, increase interest in activities and decrease stress within the family. A PAWS Dog doesn’t pass judgment, but breaks into the world of autism and becomes a crucial part of the family’s life. In an effort to better meet the needs of our future and current clients PAWS has an annual application acceptance policy. The online application will become available on January 10.
