The Unit also helps consumers who have been denied enrollment in a Qualified Health Plan or denied Advanced Premium Tax Credits or Cost-Sharing Reductions by Maryland Health Connection.

Maryland law also allows providers to file complaints against insurance carriers on behalf of consumers. The services of the Health Education and Advocacy Unit are FREE to consumers.

STEPS Behavioral Health supports children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their efforts to build skills, grow with confidence, and gain independence. Our experienced team of BCBAs, RBTs, and licensed clinicians provides personalized ABA therapy, parent training, and ongoing support. We offer in-clinic Early Intervention ABA therapy for ages 0–5, as well as in-daycare and in-home services for children up to age 21.
